Privacy Policy

This policy covers Founders Armory, operated by Founders Armory AZ LLC, and applies to this website only. Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need to answer you. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not track you across the internet.

If you would rather not use a form at all, call or email us directly — the details are at the end of this page.

What we collect and why

Inquiry forms. The contact form and the "Find Your Piece" form ask for your name, a phone number, and — on the contact form — an email address. Both let you tell us what you're after in your own words. We use this for one purpose: to reach you back about the inquiry you sent. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing texts or emails.

Correspondence. If you email or call us, we keep that thread so we have a history to reference if you get in touch again.

Server logs and traffic counts. Our host records standard web server information for every visit, including your IP address, browser, and the pages requested. We use it for two things: keeping the site secure and reliable, and seeing how busy the site is — how many people visited, which pages they read, and which site sent them here. That reporting is produced by our host from those logs and shown to us as totals. It is not tied to your name, it is not matched against inquiries you send us, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, and nothing on it stores anything on your device. There are no advertising pixels, no session or screen recording, and nothing here follows you to another website.

We do count traffic, and we want to be precise about how. Our host produces those counts on its end, from the server logs described above. No code in the page is involved, and what we see is totals — visits, popular pages, and the sites that referred people to us. It cannot follow you anywhere else.

There is one small script on the site, and it is worth explaining rather than leaving for you to find. Our host adds it to measure how fast pages actually load for real visitors: how long the main image took to appear, whether the layout jumped around while loading, how quickly the page answered a tap. It reports timings, not behaviour. It does not record what you read, what you click, or where you go next, and it sets no cookies. We use it to find the slow pages and fix them.

One exception is worth naming rather than burying. The location map near the bottom of the page is embedded from Google Maps, and it loads only if you scroll far enough to reach it. When it loads, your browser contacts Google directly and Google may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy rather than ours. We send Google nothing about you, and nothing else on this site behaves this way.

Because we do not track visitors across sites, a Do Not Track signal from your browser has no effect here — there is nothing for it to turn off.

Please don't send sensitive information through the forms

Our forms are for starting a conversation, not for transmitting documents. Please do not enter Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license or passport numbers, firearm serial numbers, trust documents, payment card details, or scans of any government form.

If we need any of that, we will tell you how to provide it securely or handle it in person at the shop.

What this policy does not cover

This policy governs the website. It does not govern the records Founders Armory AZ LLC creates in the course of doing business in person as a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL 9-86-013-07-6E-17262).

Fingerprint cards, ATF eForm submissions, transaction records, and background check information are collected in person, handled under ATF and FBI requirements, and retained for the periods federal law requires. That information is never collected through this website and is not stored alongside website inquiries.

Who else sees your information

We keep the list of third parties as short as we can:

• Netlify, our web host, serves this site and receives and stores form submissions on our behalf. Submissions are also delivered to us by email. Netlify also produces the traffic counts described above from its own server logs, and runs the page-speed script described above.
• Our email provider, which carries and stores the messages we exchange with you.
• Google, but only if you scroll down to the location map, which is embedded from Google Maps. Your browser fetches that map from Google directly. We do not send Google your name, your inquiry, or anything else you give us.

That's it. We do not sell your personal information, we have never sold it, and we will not sell it. We do not share it with data brokers, advertisers, or marketing partners.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to — for example, in response to a valid subpoena, warrant, or court order — or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect someone's safety. If we are ever compelled to hand over your information, we will tell you unless the law forbids it.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as they are useful to the relationship — typically no more than two years after our last contact with you — and then delete them. Correspondence you have with us by email may be kept longer as part of our normal business records.

Traffic counts are a rolling window. Our host keeps roughly the last 30 days and older data falls off on its own. It is aggregate, and there is nothing in it to connect back to you.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See below.

How we protect it

The entire site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Access to form submissions is limited to the people at Founders Armory who need it to answer you, and those accounts are protected by strong, unique passwords.

No system is perfectly secure, which is the honest reason for the section above asking you not to send sensitive documents through a web form.

Your rights

Whatever state you live in, we will honor these on request:

• Know what information we hold about you and where it came from.
• Get a copy of it.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Have it deleted.
• Opt out of any future contact from us.

Email mark@foundersarmoryaz.com or call (480) 269-6116 and tell us what you want done. We may need to ask a question or two to confirm you are who you say you are before we act — for a request to delete, that usually means replying from the email address or phone number you originally gave us.

We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Children

This site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Where the site and data live

This site is operated in the United States and the information you send us is stored in the United States. If you are visiting from outside the U.S., be aware that your information will be transferred here, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes and questions

If we change how we handle information, we will revise this page and update the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
